After the selection of wide receiver Malik Nabers in round one, GM Joe Schoen continued to add talent to the Giants roster in round two with the addition of Safety Tyler Nubin. Nubin was rated the best safety in the 2024 NFL draft and fits perfectly within new Defensive Coordinator, Shane Bowens scheme and philosophy. This scheme will call for 3 Safety high looks that will include Belton and Pinnock.

Nubin is a born leader with the knack for pulling down interceptions. He set a program record with 13 interceptions over 3 years and racked up 207 tackles (143 solo).

Nubin had a Day 1 grade and gives the Giants a solid value in round two. Nubin will be a quality piece in new DC Shane Bowen’s defense and can be used in different packages. Nubin’s explosiveness and ball skills enhance his playmaking ability. Nubin is projected to be a day 1 starter and replace departed Xavier McKinney.
