The RUSH SPORTS “BALLER” of the Week: Cole Goumas | Running Back

Cole Goumas on Friday Night crushed Park Ridge and any dreams they had of winning a title. In a rain storm Rutherford pulled out the “Ground and Pound” with Goumas leading the way with 25 attempts for 171 yards and 3 Touchdowns.

Goumas is a three-year starter who found the end zone 11 times last year (2022) for 848 yards. The 5’10, 180 pound back has an eye popping 346 yards and 5 touchdowns over the last two games. On Friday he helped the Bulldogs over Park Ridge 26-7 for a three peat of the NJIC title.

Goumas has a low center of gravity, is a very patient runner and has a knack for finding the endzone. Rutherfords head coach has given Goumas the oppportunity to score from anywhere on the field. Whether it at the QB position in the Wildcat formation, on a kick or punt return or split out as receiver, Goumas has done it all.
