The Giants have signed Indianapolis Colts Guard, Marg Glowinski, to a three-year, $20 million deal, with $11.4 million guaranteed.

The Giants, who have had offensive line struggles for the past decade, have made it clear that offensive line will be a priority this offseason. It is an absolute necessity for their offensive line to improve, as Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley could both see their last seasons with the Giants in the event of an injury.

Mark Glowinski, who has been starting opposite side of Quenton Nelson, has proven to be a formidable player over the past several years. In 2021, he recorded just to sacks allowed, and only two penalties, as he ranked top 20 in both run blocking and pass blocking.

$20 million is a very reasonable contract for a guard of his caliber. The contract value should be a sigh of relief for Giants fans, who have suffered watching Dave Gettleman overpay free agents over the past four seasons.

This does leave Giants in question for how their team will draft in 2022, as many fans had believed the top two picks would go to linemen. While still a possibility, the Glowinski signing makes that scenario more unlikely.
