As we inch closer to Giants Training Camp I thought it would be a good idea to give you my first installment of the projected roster for week 1. However, unlike most projections this is a list of the entire 53-man final roster.
I decided to project the cornerstone players that will make the team at each position. This will help create an idea of what positions have the most and least competition and where the biggest battles will be in training camp 2022. There will be additions when players get cut by other NFL teams; however, this should give you an idea of who is trying to make the 53-man roster…right now.
Offense:
QB: Jones, Taylor, Webb
Running Back: Barkley, Breida, Williams
Wide Receiver: Golladay, Toney, Shepard, Robinson
(Slayton, Sills, Foster, Johnson, Board, James, Bachman, & Proehl will compete for a fifth/sixth spot)
Tackle: Thomas, Neal, (Peart, Gono, Cunningham, Hamilton, & Baeteka will compete for a spot)
Center: Feliciano, Brederson, (Gates will likely be added to the PUP list. Include Max Garcia with centers )
Guard: Glowinski, Lemieux, Garcia, Ezeudo (Include B. Brederson with guards)
Tight End: Bellinger, Seals-Jones, Akins
Defense:
Defensive End/ Edge: Williams, Thibodeaux, Holmes, Ward
Nose Tackle/Defensive Tackle: Lawrence, Ellis, Moa
Linebacker: Martinez, Ojulari, Roche, Smith, Coughlin, Mcfadden, Brown
Cornerback: Jackson, Robinson, Williams, Jacquet, Flott, Holmes
Safety: Mckinney, Love, Belton
Punter: Gillian
Kicker: Gano
