NY Giants Should Sign Familiar Face: Tollefson Cut by Raiders

Sometimes you just can’t go home again.

Defensive End Dave Tollefson was released today by his home town team, the Oakland Raiders. So before the Giants make any more mistakes they have an opportunity to bring back an familiar face for the price of two Eli Manning football cards and stick of gum.

Jerry Reese drafts have been a bomb the last few years, and his free agent signings are just as bad.

Tolly was a very popular guy here in New York with a big time motor.  With Osi on the way out, Chris Canty in Baltimore and Aaron “I can’t cover” Ross back in uniform…why not bring back a guy who knows the system and his popular in the locker room.

Tolly did an admirable job filling in when Justin Tuck hurt his neck and he is an exceptional special teams player.
