Giants new Running Back Shane Vereen:  Keeps a low profile

by Craig J. Santucci | Managing Editor

Like all things shiny and new…you want to show the world your new acquisition and this especially goes for recently acquired Giants running back Shane Vereen.

However…it has been very quite during OTA’s with news relating to the new running back. This has been very consistent since the former New England Patriot signed with the Giants in the off-season.  No fanfare, no pre-game celebration…almost too creepy quite.

There was one report that Vereen is going to play a huge part in the Ben McAdoo’s new look offense.   Okay…so tell me more.   How does he look?   Is he picking up the offense? What number is he wearing…anything! (Yes, I have seen the practice jersey #34)

The second round pick of Patriots in 2011 has been making himself scarce even with the New York news hounds every where and I am sure the New York Giants love it.   That only means he is focused on football.

In 2014 Vereen had 391 yards rushing and 447 yards receiving for a total of 5 touchdowns.

I see Vereen surpassing that easily now that he is here in New York with quarterback Eli Manning and Ben McAdoo.
