With the 219th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants have selected TE Thomas Fidone II out of Nebraska in the 7th round.
Measurables:
- HEIGHT: 6’5″
- WEIGHT: 243
- ARM: 34″
- WINGSPAN: 82½”
- 40-YARD DASH: 4.7
- VERTICAL: 35.5″
Fidone has an athletic build at 6’5 243 and uses his build-up speed to stress linebackers in coverage. He has great body control and is an impressive route runner who specializes in verticals. This is most effective in the red zone when he can use this ability with his length and leaping ability over shorter defensive backs to reel in touchdowns for Nebraska. The issue with Fidone is not his production in college, it is his medical red flags that are hard to ignore. He essentially lost two full seasons in college due to knee injuries in 2021 and 2022.

Statistically speaking, Fidone II doesn’t have the biggest impact on the field, but the potential is there. In 2023, he led the Cornhuskers with 4 touchdown receptions, with only 25 receptions and 260 yards. He is difficult to bring down in the open field due to his strength and size. This past season, he had no touchdowns but had more receptions(36) and yards(373) from the previous season.
Daboll will most likely use Fidone on special teams and potentially in the red zone packages.
