With Covid-19 still prevalent as we enter the 2022 season, the NFL still has the number of players assigned to the practice squad at 16. GM Joe Schoen has been very active during the waiver process as he continues to add pieces to the practice squad which is currently now at 16. Here‘s a look of who GM Joe Schoen has added to the 2022 practice squad:
Offense (8)
QB-Davis Webb
WR-CJ Board/Kalil Pimpleton
TE-/Austin Allen
OL-Wyatt Davis (G)/Will Holden (OT)/Max Garcia (OG/OC)
RB-Jashaun Corbin/Sandro Platzgummer-Exempt
Defense (8)
DL-Ryder Anderson/Henry Mondeaux
OLB/EDGE-Quincy Roche/Chuck Wiley
CB- Zyon Gilbert/Harrison Hand
S-Tony Jefferson/Trenton Thompson
These selections by GM Joe Schoen for the practice squad can and will more than likely change as the season progresses. Also, each team can bring up two players for each game from 53 to 55 due to Covid-19 protocol. GM Joe Schoen along with every GM in the league will continue to search for talent as the season unfolds. Also, each team can bring up two players for each game from 53 to 55 due to Covid-19 protocol. The Giants have five players on injured reserve and two on PUP. Once any of these players are eligible to return at some point of the season, GM Joe Schoen will need to make room and that means someone will get released. At this time, it’s anyone’s guess who that will be.
