The NY Giants drafted Abdul Carter from Penn State with the 3rd pick in the 1st round.

Carter is a game wrecker who immediately makes the Giants have one of the most intimidating defensive lines in all of football. Sexy Dexy, Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Carter will become one of most “schemed against” defenses in the near future.
Carter, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 is 6’3 260 can play stand up outside linebacker, or stunt from the inside. His coverage is solid for an edge rusher, his sack package is unique and explosive. Over time he will be given a chance to lead in that locker room, as shown by wearing the prestigious #11 at Penn State. Carter’s biggest asset is his motor, his relentless style of play will also change the way Burns, McFadden, and Okereke are also utilized.

Defensive Coordinator Shane Bowen will need to let these player loose having three premier edge rushers. The pick was the right move and this now gives the Giants an identity, revolutionizing this defense. The additions of Adebo, Holland, and Carter are exactly what I wanted from this staff, and they delivered.
