The NY Giants Should Sign Former Bears Tackle Eben Britton.
The NY Giants need quality offensive lineman, yet no one expects it to be plug n’ play with new bodies. The Offensive Line heavily relies on playing as a unit and knowing the blocking scheme. Adding a piece this late does not guarantee success.
The NY Giants should look no further and sign former Bears lineman Eben Britton. Eben Britton can be an upgrade if healthy. Britton, 26 years old, was released from the Chicago Bears yesterday because of a hamstring injury that has plagued him most of training camp.
Britton had been a 2nd round pick of the Jaguars in 2009 and signed with Chicago Bears in 2013. The former Arizona Wildcat is very versatile and can play left or right tackle and has played guard on the pro level. If healthy…the 6′ 6″ 309 lb. lineman is worth signing.
His two years in Chicago were both under one year deals and can be had for good price if the Giants are willing to improve.
